John A.

John A. serves as the Deputy Director for Climate Resilience at the California Department of Water Resources, a position held since November 2, 2021. With extensive experience in water resource management, John has led significant climate change initiatives and managed diverse planning projects. Previous roles include Assistant Deputy Director and Chief of Special Planning Projects at the California Department of Water Resources, as well as positions in various organizations such as the California Bay-Delta Authority and California Department of Public Health. John holds a Master of Public Policy and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, along with several professional certifications. Contributions to community oversight include serving on the Bond Oversight Committee for Sacramento City Unified School District and as Chair of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Parks and Recreation in the City of Sacramento.
