Andrea Wheeler is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in risk management and derivatives pricing. Currently serving as Enterprise Risk Manager and formerly as Risk Transfer Analyst at California Earthquake Authority since June 2014, Andrea has developed skills in enterprise risk strategies. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Vice President at State Street, where responsibilities encompassed derivatives pricing management, and Unit Manager Income at Investors Bank & Trust, overseeing corporate actions and income. Andrea has also held supervisory positions at Barclays Global Investors and Investors Bank and Trust, focusing on operational efficiency and project leadership. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University, Chico, and an Associate of Science from Yuba College.

CEA’s team includes a collection of specialists in the fields of insurance, seismic retrofitting, and information technology, along with financial, legal, and marketing and communications experts. Our workforce is a unique mix of civil service employees, contract workers, and staff procured through private employment agencies. CEA team members are also award winners, with honors from American Red Cross and the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association, among others. And they serve on, or preside over, important boards such as American Academy of Actuaries and the Structural Engineers Association of California.
