Cynthia Cory

Director, Environmental Affairs at California Farm Bureau Federation

Cynthia Cory has over three decades of experience in agricultural and environmental affairs. Currently serving as the Director of Environmental Affairs at the California Farm Bureau Federation since 1990, Cynthia focuses on various state and national environmental issues affecting the agricultural community, particularly air quality and climate change, while also addressing biotechnology and pest control concerns. Previous roles include Government Relations Specialist at Blue Diamond Growers, where legislative issues related to natural resources and food safety were monitored, and Staff Agronomist at Development Alternative, Inc., providing agronomic support for global development projects. Additionally, Cynthia served as a Staff Research Associate at the University of California, Davis, conducting critical research on drought and disease resistance in crops, and as a Peace Corps Volunteer, leading agricultural training programs in Liberia. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in International Agricultural Development/Genetics from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the University of Kentucky.
