Cheryl Athey has extensive experience in human resources and coaching. Cheryl is currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources at California Faucets. Prior to this, they founded Live Wise Coaching, LLC in 2015, where they offered personalized coaching packages, group programs, and public speaking engagements. Cheryl has also worked as the Human Resources Director at Executive Cabinetry from 2018 to 2019. Cheryl previously held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at American Credit Acceptance and RSI Home Products. Additionally, they have served as the Director of Human Resources at National Linen and Uniform Service and United Way of Central Carolinas. Earlier in their career, Cheryl worked at T.J. Maxx (Charlotte Distribution Center) as a Human Resources Supervisor and at Regent Carolina Corporation as a Corporate Human Resources Manager.
Cheryl Athey's education history includes a variety of programs and degrees. In 1989-1992, they attended Parker College of Business-Georgia Southern University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Management and Human Resources. In 2015-2016, they pursued their interest in Integrative Medicine through the Integrative Health Coaching Professional Training program at Duke University. Following that, in 2016-2017, they furthered their studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, completing the Integrative Nutrition and Health Coach Professional Training Program, which resulted in a certification as a Certified Integrative Nutrition and Health Coach. Additionally, in the same year, they also pursued a program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, but it does not specify if a degree was obtained.
