Janis Plotkin

Janis Plotkin is a seasoned professional in the film industry with extensive experience in programming and artistic direction. Currently serving as a Senior Film Programmer at the California Film Institute and the Mill Valley Film Festival since 2004, Janis has also held the position of Executive Artistic Director at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival from 1993 to 2002. Janis holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree focused on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Southern California, which was pursued between 1974 and 1976.
