Adrienne Pine

Adrienne Pine is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in anthropology, currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies since January 2023. Prior roles include Associate Professor of Anthropology at American University from July 2009 to December 2021, and Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the American University in Cairo from August 2007 to June 2009. Adrienne also contributed to the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras as a Profesora Asistente de Antropología in 2013-2014, and served as Lead Educator at the California Nurses Association from July 2004 to May 2007, where political education for registered nurses was a focus. Adrienne earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Anthropology from Brown University.
