Patty Pforte

Patty Pforte is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in communications, community engagement, and public programs within various cultural institutions. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Communications and Community Engagement at the California Institute of Integral Studies since August 2019, Patty also held the role of Senior Strategic Engagement Manager, overseeing marketing and engagement initiatives for CIIS’ Public Programs. Previously, Patty managed public programs and visitor experiences at the California Historical Society, facilitating a wide range of events and developing engaging content focused on California history. In addition to contributions at the California Historical Society, Patty served on the Bay Area Emerging Museum Professionals Board as Vice President, supported visitor services at prominent institutions like the Oakland Museum of California and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and gained valuable experience through various internships and volunteer roles. Patty holds a Master’s Degree in Museology/Museum Studies from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from Bard College.
