Jena Alsup is a Computer Science undergraduate at the California Institute of Technology, with a strong research background and diverse internship experience. As an Undergraduate Researcher in the Zernicka-Goetz Lab, Jena focused on geometric image segmentation of human embryos, while also contributing to the Alvarez Lab by creating a comprehensive database of energy industry corporate communications using advanced text preprocessing techniques with Python's NLTK Library. Jena has held multiple positions as a Software Engineering Intern at companies such as Apple, where a service was developed to detect cloud infrastructure misconfigurations, and has gained teaching experience as a CS Teaching Assistant for various programming courses.
