Karen Sisson

Karen Sisson is currently the VP, Administration & CFO at the California Institute of Technology. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President for Business and Finance at Kalamazoo College from March 2020 to September 2021. From July 2008 to January 2020, Sisson served as the Vice President and Treasurer at Pomona College. Karen also has experience working in local government, having served as the City Administrative Officer for the City of Los Angeles from December 2006 to July 2008 and as Deputy Mayor - Finance & Performance Management from August 2005 to July 2006. Prior to their work in local government, Sisson worked for Los Angeles World Airports for nine years, serving as Deputy Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer.

Karen Sisson has a Master of Arts in Theology/Theological Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, a Master of Business Administration in Finance & Public Management from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Pomona College.

They are on a team with Sharon E. Patterson - AVP Finance & Treasurer, Jennifer T. Lum - General Counsel, and Larry D. James - Deputy Director, Interim VP, Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Their manager is Thomas F. Rosenbaum, President. and Matthew W. Brewer - Controller reports to Karen Sisson.
