Melinda Roper

Melinda Roper is a seasoned higher education professional with extensive experience in student affairs. Currently serving as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at California Lutheran University since April 2015, Melinda Roper previously held the role of Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students as well as Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Life at the same institution from 2008 to 2015. Prior to their tenure at California Lutheran University, Melinda Roper worked at Duke University from 1995 to 2008, where roles included Interim Director of the Women's Center and Senior Associate Director of Student Activities and Engagement. Melinda Roper holds an EdD in Student Affairs Administration and an MS in Exercise and Sport Science from Penn State University, as well as a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara.
