Silvia Neves, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the field of education, with roles ranging from Adjunct Faculty to Academic Dean at various institutions. Silvia has served as Director for a project focusing on Hispanic student success, and as an Associate Dean overseeing general education courses. Dr. Neves has also worked as a Lecturer and Academic Coordinator in a Teacher Education Program, where they coordinated programs, supervised student teachers, and facilitated university-school partnerships.
Silvia Neves, Ph.D. began their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Sciences in Agricultural Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 1982. Silvia continued their studies with a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters from the same institution in 1994. Silvia completed their academic journey by earning a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from UC Santa Barbara in 2001. Additionally, Silvia holds a California Teaching Credential for Secondary English, showcasing their commitment to education and professional development.
