Carol Dahmen

Trustee at California Museum

A Sacramento native with an extensive background in political communications and media relations, Carol Dahmen brings 18 years of public policy and program management experience to her new position on the Museum’s Board of Trustees. In 2005, Carol joined Comcast Spotlight in the position of Political Marketing Manager, where she is responsible for growing political advertising and government funded program revenues.

Prior to her tenure at Comcast, Carol was Chief Deputy Director of Communications in the Governor Gray Davis Administration, Communications Director for Secretary of State Kevin Shelley and Communications Director for the Department of Conservation. After graduating from CSUS with a degree in Journalism and Government, she began her career as Media Assistant for George H.W. Bush’s 1988 Presidential campaign.

In addition to The California Museum’s Board of Trustees, Carol also serves as an Executive Board member on the American Association of Political Consultants.
