Pablo Espinoza

Pablo Espinoza is a Special Projects Media Consultant for the California State Assembly, focusing on multimedia press and constituent outreach for Speaker Toni G. Atkins and the Assembly Democratic Caucus. Prior to his current position, Espinoza served as Deputy Director of the Speaker’s Office of Member Services (SOMS) under Assembly Speakers Fabian Nuñez and Karen Bass.

Espinoza transitioned to the California State Assembly after a 14 year career as a broadcast journalist for NBC, CBS and Univision in markets including San Antonio, Waco, Fresno and Sacramento, where he was an anchor, political reporter and host of the network’s statewide public policy program, “Voz y Voto.” He has been the recipient of numerous journalism awards, including two Emmys. In addition, he has written for national publications including Television Week and Sports Illustrator.

Currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Local Government, Espinoza has also served on the Board of the Sacramento Press Club, the Latino Democratic Club and the Media Advisory Board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Espinoza currently resides in Elk Grove, CA, along with his wife, Nancy, and his son, Adrian.
