Richard Montmeny PhD has over 30 years of work experience in various leadership positions in the healthcare industry. Richard is currently the Chief Executive Officer at the California Rehabilitation Institute since September 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Dignity Health starting from July 2015. From April 2013 to July 2015, they held the position of Assistant Vice President Musculoskeletal Health at Wentworth-Douglass Health System, and from November 2009 to April 2013, they were the Director of Rehabilitation at the same organization. Before joining Wentworth-Douglass, they worked as an Assistant Professor at UNC Chapel Hill from August 2004 to November 2009. Richard Montmeny's career began as a Co Owner at Centers for Physical Therapy in May 1985, where they worked until August 2004.

Richard Montmeny PhD has a diverse educational background encompassing various fields of study. In 1980, they obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Special Education and Teaching from PennWest California. Following this, from 1984 to 1985, Richard pursued a degree in Physical Therapy from Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and Chapman University. In 2002, they embarked on a doctoral journey at the University of Connecticut, specializing in Kinesiology, and successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2006. Finally, in 2014, Richard participated in the General Management Program at Harvard Business School, enhancing their executive education.
