Naomi Eason, Ed.D., serves as the Chief of Research and Education Policy Development at the California School Boards Association (CSBA) since January 2023, focusing on providing vital research and data analysis on education policy issues. Previously, Eason held the position of Assistant Executive Director for Member Services at CSBA from August 2014 to September 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing all functions of the Member Services department and enhancing interdepartmental cooperation. With a robust career spanning over 20 years in educational leadership, Eason has also served as Executive Director for BELL, Assistant Superintendent for the Alameda County Office of Education, and in various roles within the Emery Unified School District. Eason’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of the Pacific, a Master of Arts from CSU East Bay, and a Bachelor of Arts from Mills College, among other qualifications.
