Mun Chee Yong

Mun Chee Yong is a seasoned producer and director with extensive experience in the film and television industry. Currently serving as a producer and director at Big Machine Films since August 2015, Mun Chee Yong specializes in developing and producing film and digital content for the international market. In academia, Mun Chee Yong holds the position of professor of Cinema and Television Arts at California State University, Fullerton, since August 2017, following a role as assistant professor at California State University, Northridge from July 2015 to July 2017. Prior teaching experience includes an adjunct professorship at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Asia in early 2012. Previous industry roles encompass story producer at Ryan Seacrest Productions in 2012 and various positions at MediaCorp Pte Ltd from 1992 to 1999, where Mun Chee Yong served as showrunner, executive producer, producer, and director on a range of projects. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California and a BSc in Monetary Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
