Christian Maldonado, ASW, has extensive experience in mental health and education. Currently serving as a Trainer and Field Support Specialist at Mental Health America of Los Angeles since May 2005, Christian coordinates the Mental Health Worker Program at Cerritos College. Additionally, Christian has held the role of Personal Service Coordinator for the Transitional Age Youth Program, and teaches courses at Cerritos College, including the Special Populations Course and Field Experience Course. Christian also contributed as Co-Advisor of Active Minds at Cerritos College and previously worked as a Therapist at El Centro del Pueblo and a Human Services Academy Coordinator at Mental Health America of Los Angeles between February 1999 and 2004. Christian holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Ecology and Psychology from UC Irvine.
