Dr. Alysa Turkowitz

Dr. Alysa Turkowitz currently serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Education at California State University, Long Beach, a position held since October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director of the Master of Financial Engineering program at UCLA Anderson School of Management and Executive Director of MA Programs in the Statistics Department at Columbia University. Additionally, Dr. Turkowitz has contributed to higher education as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, focusing on social justice issues, particularly concerning transgender communities and LGBTQ+ student experiences. Roles also include career coaching and consulting within the Columbia Alumni Association and Columbia Business School, along with various administrative and educational support positions across Columbia University. Dr. Turkowitz holds an EdD in Adult Learning and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, alongside other degrees in social and organizational psychology and psychology from UC Berkeley and Vassar College.
