Dr. Michael L. Williams

Dr. Michael L. Williams currently serves as the Director of the School of Nursing at California State University, Long Beach, a role commenced in July 2022. Prior to this, Dr. Williams was the Director of the School of Nursing at Eastern Michigan University from September 1998 to July 2022, overseeing approximately 800 students across various nursing programs and managing a faculty team of 25 full-time and 60 part-time lecturers. Dr. Williams has also been a member of the American Association for Men in Nursing since 2010. Clinical experience includes positions as a Staff Nurse at Chelsea Community Hospital and a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Ingham Regional Medical Center and the University of Michigan Health System. Dr. Williams holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Michigan State University, among other educational qualifications.
