Kathryn Boyd-Batstone

Kathryn Boyd-Batstone is a seasoned creative professional in film and video production with extensive experience across various roles and companies. Currently serving as a Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Film & Electronic Arts at California State University, Long Beach, Kathryn teaches an introductory film production class. Previous roles include Creative Producer at My Code, PBS Roadtrip Nation Episodic Director, and Director of Photography for the NAACP-nominated short film "Fathead." Other notable positions include Freelance Video Director for Amazon Global Communities, Social Media Video Director/Editor at mitú, and Photojournalist and Videojournalist at The Rivard Report. Kathryn holds a Master’s degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
