Paul Carter

Assistant Director, Black Resource Center at California State University Long Beach

Paul Carter currently serves as an Associate in Network Learning at the Obama Foundation, following roles as the Assistant Director of the Black Resource Center at California State University, Long Beach, and Coordinator of the Pan-African Student Resource Center at California State University-Los Angeles. Previous experience includes serving as Academic & Wellness Manager at Community Coalition, where strategies were developed to support low-income, first-generation Black and Latinx students. Paul also contributed to student retention efforts as Head Mentor for the Office of Black Student Affairs at The Claremont Colleges Services and gained research experience as a Technical Assistance Intern at Break the Cycle. Academically, Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pomona College.
