Emilie Royer

Emilie Royer is an established astrophysicist currently serving as an Assistant Professor at California State University, Los Angeles, and as a Senior Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute. With extensive experience in NASA-funded projects, Emilie has planned and led significant scientific initiatives, including the analysis of remote-sensing data from the Cassini mission to Saturn and the development of machine learning algorithms to explore planetary dynamics. As a founder and director of SimpleScope, Emilie provides educational astronomy services, including private telescope lessons and NASA data processing tutoring. Past roles include professorship at Mt. San Antonio College and research scientist positions at the University of Colorado Boulder and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Emilie holds a Ph.D. in Planetary Science from Pierre and Marie Curie University and has contributed to various scientific conferences and committees.
