Melissa Garafalo-Culmer

Melissa Garafalo-Culmer is an experienced audiologist currently working at California State University, Northridge since August 2023. Previously, Melissa served as an audiologist for the Ventura County Office of Education from August 2016 to August 2023, and as an educational audiologist at the Los Angeles County Office of Education from October 2012 to July 2016. Other professional roles include audiologist positions at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and Kaiser Permanente, where Melissa specialized in pediatric and adult diagnostics and rehabilitation. Additionally, Melissa worked as an early interventionist for the Colorado Home Intervention Program, providing home-based aural rehabilitation services. Melissa began a career in research as a research assistant at the University of Colorado at Boulder, focusing on data collection and analysis.
