Samantha Fields

Samantha Fields serves as the Chair of the Department of Art at California State University, Northridge, a position held since August 1998, where visionary leadership and strategic planning foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment. In addition to the chair role, Samantha Fields is a Professor of Art and has held the position of Interim Associate Dean of the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication, focusing on student success and curriculum development. Notably, Samantha Fields coordinated a three-week studio course in Florence, Italy, for California State University Summer Arts in July 2017, which involved teaching, mentoring, and organizing exhibitions. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art.
