Mandy Hu

Mandy Hu is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Staff Attorney at the California Teachers Association since October 2015. Hu has extensive experience in the legal field, having clerked for the United States District Court in both the Northern District of California and the Northern District of Illinois, and worked as an attorney at Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass LLP and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. In addition to legal practice, Hu contributed to the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance as Co-Chair on the Board of Directors from July 2011 to December 2015 and served as a Public Policy Fellow at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. Educational credentials include a J.D. cum laude from New York University School of Law, a Master of Arts in Social Studies Education from the City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College, and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in Social Studies from Harvard University. Prior to legal pursuits, Hu taught Social Studies at Bronx Leadership Academy.
