Erica Hickey

Erica Hickey serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at California Youth Connection since September 2013, alongside various roles such as Bay Area Policy Intern, Statewide Conference Facilitator, and Legislative Committee Member. From February 2022 to August 2023, Erica worked as a Policy Coordinator at the Alliance for Children's Rights, and from May 2019 to June 2022, served as the Policy Director at VOICES, focusing on policies affecting young individuals in vulnerable situations. Prior to these positions, Erica was involved with SPARK Initiative as a Case Manager and Data Manager/Analyst, and completed policy and research fellowships with Supervisor Glover's Office and the Young Women's Freedom Center. Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus on Public Service from the University of California, Davis, and multiple Associate of Arts degrees from Diablo Valley College in Sociology, Psychology, and Political Science.
