Gloria L. Diaz Arenas is an experienced professional in chemical engineering with a diverse background in research and development, materials science, and education. Currently serving as R&D Program Lead and Research Scientist at Calix Limited since July 2024, Gloria previously held roles as a Materials Scientist at Leilac and Technical Officer with the Monash Pilot Processes Team, where responsibilities included managing pilot-scale wastewater treatment operations and writing technical documentation. Gloria also contributed to academia as a Teaching Associate and Laboratory Manager at Monash University, focusing on material and energy balances, and developing laboratory instructions. Earlier research roles included Professional Research Assistant at Universidad Industrial de Santander, where Gloria worked on photo-protective formulations, and a Trainee Chemical Engineer position at Ecopetrol S.A. Gloria L. Diaz Arenas holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Monash University, alongside a Diploma in Project Management and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
