Tariq Abuhashim

Tariq Abuhashim is a Principal Computer Vision Engineer at Callaghan Innovation since November 2016, where previous roles included Senior Computer Vision Engineer. Tariq also serves as a Research Collaborator at Mission Systems Pty Ltd since 2021. From July 2014 to October 2016, Tariq worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. Earlier experience includes teaching as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Sydney from July 2008 to August 2014, where Tariq taught the Professional Engineering and IT Course. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Sydney, an MSc from the American University of Sharjah, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Jordan. Additional roles include being a Technical Assistant, PhD student, and IT and Radio Engineer at various organizations.
