Tim Armstrong has extensive experience in the field of measurement standards. Tim began their career at Industrial Research Ltd in 1984, where they worked in various roles related to time and frequency standards and length standards. From 1989 to 2005, they served as the Head of Time and Frequency standards. In 2009, they became the Director of the Measurement Standards Laboratory at Industrial Research Ltd, a position they held until 2013. Since 2013, they have been the Director of the Measurement Standards Laboratory at Callaghan Innovation.
