Christopher Dearing has a diverse work experience in the marine industry. Christopher is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Callan Marine Ltd since July 2021. Previously, they worked at GSD Companies as the Marine Division Manager from November 2017 to July 2021. Before that, they worked at Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation for a significant period, holding various roles including Project Engineer & Quality Control Systems Manager, Assistant Project Engineer, Site Engineer Level 1, Site Engineer Level 2, and Field Engineering Technician. Christopher's roles involved responsibilities such as ensuring adherence to permits, contracts, and specifications, managing safety and quality standards, liaising between clients, contractors, and subcontractors, tracking contract modifications and payments, conducting hydrographic surveys, preparing reports, and performing quality control checks.
Christopher Dearing attended Texas A&M University from 2004 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Ocean Engineering. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including Rigging Awareness Training, obtained in March 2015. Christopher also obtained the Engineer in Training certification from NCEES in 2010. Christopher has completed First Aid & CPR training through the American Red Cross and Man Overboard Training through Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation. Christopher has also received OSHA 30 training from the OSHA Training Center.
