Christopher Galassi

Dr. Chris Galassi possesses a depth of experience in intelligent software and knowledge-based systems, particularly in the area of patient documentation. He earned a master’s degree in computer science (artificial intelligence) from the University of Illinois and worked previously as a software engineer for the Department of Defense. Subsequently, he completed a doctorate of medicine from the University of Illinois and training in computation applied to medicine at the University of Illinois and the National Institutes of Health National Library of Medicine, as well as clinical training. Prior to his involvement with Callibra, he started Innovative Projects Lab, Inc., where he led technology consulting efforts for large corporate clients such as the American Hospital Association, Abbott Labs, and Arthur Andersen. He was a founding member of what is now the Illinois Biotechnology Industry Association and served on the board of directors of Chicago’s Biotechnology Association for three years.
