Michelle P.

Michelle P. has had a diverse range of work experience. Michelle currently works as a Medical Director at Calliditas Therapeutics AB since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Akcea Therapeutics as a Medical Director from May 2018 to March 2020. Michelle also worked at AstraZeneca and ZS Pharma as a Scientific Affairs Manager from October 2013 to 2018.

Michelle has also held various roles at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation, including being an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Panel Member responsible for reviewing research trials. Michelle also served as a Clinical Researcher, managing Phase 1-4 trials across multiple departments. Additionally, Michelle was the Medical Director of the "Reach Out and Read" program, implementing and managing the program in eight Ochsner facilities.

Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Michelle worked at Gulf South Medical and Surgical Institute as a Dermatologist from 2006 to 2008, providing evaluations, follow-up care, and dermatological procedures. Michelle also worked at Infusion Partners as an MD Liaison from 2004 to 2006, where they focused on transition of care services and achieved process improvements.

Finally, Michelle has been a member of the National Bone Health Alliance since 2011.
