Tessa Jones has a diverse range of work experience starting in 2002 as a Research Assistant at Black Hills State University. Tessa then worked as a Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo from 2005 to 2007. From 2008 to 2011, they served as a Research Assistant at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. In 2009, Tessa began working as an Adjunct Professor at both Black Hills State University and Western Dakota Technical Institute, with their roles ending in 2011. Tessa then worked as a Scientist at the Sanford Underground Research Facility from 2009 to 2012. Tessa also gained experience as a Mission Operations Specialist at Malin Space Science Systems from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Tessa was a Data Scientist at Cymer. In 2015, they joined Decisive Data as the Director of Data Science and continues to hold this position. Currently, Tessa works at Calligo, initially starting as the VP of Data Science Research & Development in 2021 and is currently the Chief Data Scientist.
Tessa Jones attended Black Hills State University from 2000 to 2005, where they studied Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. After that, they attended the University at Buffalo from 2005 to 2007, focusing on Geology. Finally, they studied Geological Engineering at South Dakota Mines from 2008 to 2012.
