Jason Smith has been in the telecommunications industry since 2001, when they began working as an MIS Provisioning Specialist for ACC Business. From 2004 to 2009, they were an Enterprise Account Executive for TelcoIQ, where they were responsible for helping customers with Cloud Solutions and Telecom/Network services. In 2009, they transitioned to XO Communications as a Client Services Manager II, managing the post sale business needs of XO Mid-Market customers. In 2015, they joined CallTrackingMetrics as a Sales Engineer, providing businesses with cloud-based software to manage their call flows. Jason was later promoted to Senior Sales Engineer.

Jason Smith attended Tesst Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2007, where they completed the LAN administrator program in IT (CCNA, Network +, A+). Jason also attended Finger Lakes Community College from 1998 to 2000.
