Principal Field Application Engineer at Calnex Solutions

Neil Jackson has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Neil is currently working at Calnex Solutions as a Principal Field Application Engineer since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Principal Application Engineer from October 2021 to September 2022 and Senior Product Applications Engineer from June 2018 to October 2021 at the same company.

Before joining Calnex Solutions, Neil worked at RM Education for a significant period. At RM Education, they served as a Premier Development Engineer from August 2012 to November 2013, where they were a member of the Senior Leadership Team and involved in the direction of the RM Learning Technologies Hardware division. Neil also worked as a Principal Development Engineer from November 2005 to August 2012, where they led the design and technical aspects of the company's PC and notebook products. Additionally, they held the position of Senior Development Engineer from December 2001 to November 2005 and Development Engineer from June 1999 to December 2001. In these roles, they were responsible for introducing new PC components, validating products, supporting the release of Windows Tablet PC, and implementing automated factory build processes.

Neil started their career as a Graduate Development Engineer at RM Education from September 1997 to June 1999. During this time, they maintained and developed production systems and collaborated with internal and external parties to optimize products for manufacture.

Neil Jackson earned a Ph.D. in Energy Disposal in State-to-State Bimolecular Collisions from The University of Edinburgh, which they attended from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from the same university from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, Neil has obtained various certifications from Apple, including Apple Certified Associate - Mac Integration 10.8, Apple Certified Support Professional 10.8, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator 10.8, and Apple Product Professional.
