Alan Simmons

Alan Simmons possesses extensive experience in electrical and control engineering, currently serving as the Director of Electrical and Control Engineering at CalPortland since May 2008, where previous roles included Chief Electrical Engineer and Senior Electrical Engineer. Prior to CalPortland, Alan held the position of Maintenance Manager at CEMEX from 2004 to May 2008, and worked as a Plant Maintenance Engineer specializing in electrical systems at Steelscape from February 2003 to September 2004. Alan's career began at Orica, where responsibilities included Acting Engineering Manager and New Zealand Electrical Engineer from April 1997 to October 2002. A graduate of the University of Canterbury, Alan earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering between 1989 and 1992.
