Tom Fields

Tom Fields is a seasoned flight test professional with a background in military and civilian aviation. They served as Commanding Officer and Chief Test Pilot at Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 31 (VX-31) from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they work as a Test Pilot at Calspan and a Flight Test Consultant at Hermeus, while having previously held the position of Site Manager at Boeing. Fields also transitioned from a long career as an Aviator in the USMC, where they served from 1998 to 2022. They hold a Certificate of Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master's in Experimental Science from the USAF Test Pilot School.
