Edgar Murillo is a Legislative and Stewardship Strategies Analyst at CalSTRS since December 2021, with a background in legislative analysis and advocacy. Prior experience includes roles as an Employment Program Representative at the Employment Development Department and as a Governmental Relations and Advocacy Assistant at the University of California Office of the President. Edgar has also served as a Research Assistant at the UCR School of Public Policy, a Press Office Intern for Speaker Anthony Rendon at the California State Assembly, and a Political Intern for People For the American Way. Additional experience includes positions as a Community Assistant and a Budget and Finance/Human Resources Student Administrative Assistant at the University of California, Riverside, as well as a Congressional Intern for Congressman Mark Takano.
