Julia Allen

Julia Allen is a seasoned creative professional with extensive experience in marketing communications and design. Currently serving as a Content & Web Management Specialist (Information Officer II) at CalSTRS since April 2024, Julia previously held the position of Principal and Creative Director at Folia Design Studio, where strategic marketing communications campaigns were developed for a diverse range of clients. A former Art Director at Edelman, Julia led creative initiatives and managed design teams, while earlier roles included Senior Designer at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and Senior Designer at Divine Interventures, Inc. Additionally, Julia has contributed to education as a part-time faculty member at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Academic credentials include an MFA in Visual Communications and a BA in Visual Communications with a minor in Anthropology, both from prestigious institutions.
