Vanessa (Phillips) Morris, CAIA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment management. Currently serving as an Associate Portfolio Manager and Investment Officer at CalSTRS since February 2015, Vanessa previously held the position of Investment Officer in the Private Equity Group at CalPERS from July 2012 to February 2015. Earlier experience includes working as a Private Equity Analyst at LP Capital Advisors, where responsibilities encompassed investment performance tracking, cash flow management, and compliance analysis. Vanessa began their career as a Lead Tutor at California State University, Sacramento, where instruction and support were provided to business students. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, International Business, and Risk Management & Insurance from California State University, Sacramento.
