Elena Filatov

Nurse Administrator, Brooklyn Campus at Calvary Hospital

Elena Filatov was promoted in August 2021 to Nurse Administrator for Calvary’s 25-bed Brooklyn Campus. She is responsible for all the care the Hospital provides each year to hundreds of patients and families who receive CalvaryCare® at that location, including the care provided during the ongoing pandemic.

Since joining the Hospital as a staff nurse in 2001, Ms. Filatov has spent her entire Calvary career in Brooklyn. She is a beloved member of the staff and has earned the respect of her coworkers, patients and their families.

A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Ms. Filatov is fluent in Russian and English. While she cares for patients from diverse backgrounds, Ms. Filatov’s language skills and cultural knowledge is very helpful in caring for Russian and Jewish patients at the end of life. The 600,000 strong Russian community in New York City is the largest in the U.S., and there are more Jews in Brooklyn than anywhere in the world.

Prior to joining Calvary, Ms. Filatov worked at Rabin Medical Center in Israel.

Ms. Filatov obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The College of New Rochelle and her Master’s degree in Nursing from Excelsior College. She is a member of NSO (Nurses Service Organization).
