Sjors de Koning

Sjors de Koning is a seasoned Belgian and European Patent Attorney, currently serving as a Belgian & European Patent Attorney and European Patent Litigator at CALYSTA NV since January 2021. In addition to this role, Sjors co-founded Humboldt Blue in June 2024, a company focused on transforming building climate control with innovative Phase Change Material technology. Since October 2023, Sjors has been involved as an EQE Tutor at Maastricht University, guiding students preparing for the European Qualifying Examination. Furthermore, Sjors acts as an independent judicial expert in intellectual property matters for the Ondernemingsrechtbank Brussel, a position held since September 2021. Previous experience includes roles as a Belgian and European Patent Attorney with EP&C Patent Attorneys and a Process Engineer at Agidens and Egemin Automation. Sjors holds multiple advanced degrees in law and engineering from prestigious institutions including KU Leuven and Maastricht University.
