Brent Huchuk

Brent Huchuk is a highly skilled data scientist and engineer with extensive experience in energy analytics and research. Currently serving as a Founding Data Scientist at Cambio since August 2023, Brent has previously held key positions including Computational Physics Engineer at PassiveLogic and Research Associate at the National Research Council Canada. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Brent has also contributed to the fields of building energy analysis and modeling during tenures at ecobee, Carleton University, and Queen's University. Accomplishments include prototyping data-driven products, conducting energy-related analytics, and developing model-based predictive control systems, highlighting expertise in large-scale data analytics and energy efficiency solutions.
