Mikael Werthen

Mikael Werthen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mikael most recently worked at Cambio Group as the Tender & Business Development Director, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they co-founded and served as the CEO of Brainsafe from September 2021 to March 2023. Mikael also held the position of CEO at LOGEX Sweden from February 2020 to September 2021.

Before their CEO roles, Mikael worked as the Head of Healthcare at Atea Sverige AB from March 2018 to February 2020. Mikael also worked at Medtronic as a Business Development Manager from October 2015 to October 2017. In this role, they focused on developing long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals and executives to improve accessibility, outcomes, and cost efficiency in healthcare.

Prior to their time at Medtronic, Mikael worked at SAS as an Account Executive Healthcare from September 2011 to September 2015. In this role, they provided information management solutions to drive change within the healthcare sector. Mikael also worked at Tieto Sweden Healthcare & Welfare AB, where they held several positions, including Key Account Manager, Regional Manager, and Account Manager, from 2004 to 2011. In these roles, they focused on digitalization, IT solutions, and integration in the healthcare sector.

Mikael began their career with an internship at LUX SA from January 1999 to November 1999. Mikael also had an internship at Telia, where they gained knowledge of the telecom industry and developed skills in business development and consultancy from January 2000 to June 2001.

Mikael Werthen completed their Bachelor of Art in Business and Information Management from Edinburgh Napier University in 1996. From 1993 to 1998, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on marketing from Jönköping University. Additionally, in 1997, they attended Universidad de Málaga to study Spanish, although no degree was specified for this period.
