Fabio Benedetti

Fabio Benedetti has over 8 years of work experience. In 2021, they were appointed as the Chief Technology Officer of Cambiomarcia\u00ae - Gruppo Unipol. From 2018 to 2021, they were the CTO & Co Founder of Virality, where they applied data analysis and ML to a high volume of social media data to improve the field of Influencer Marketing. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Gruppo Unipol as Research and Development, where they designed and developed data centric prototypes for improving the business processes. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Teaching Assistant, Postdoctoral Fellow, and Ph.D Student in ICT at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. In 2015, they were a Visiting Research at Kno.e.sis - Ohio Center of Excellence in Knowledge-enabled Computing. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Business Intelligence at Doxee, where they developed reports using the Open Source framework Pentaho for the visualization of the charts and the SQL language to elaborate the data collected from different Oracle Databases. Fabio also worked at DataRiver as an Analyst Developer, where they reengineered an existing application called RTM, used by the cancer registry of the province of Modena. During this project, they used Talend, an Open ETL software, to migrate the existing Database from Microsoft SQL Server to Postgres.

Fabio Benedetti obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Linked Open Data & Big Data from the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia in 2015. In 2014, they attended the Web Science Summer School at Southampton University. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia in 2012. Fabio Benedetti also holds certifications from Coursera Course Certificates, Stanford University, Udemy, Coursera, and edX. These certifications include Functional Programming Principles in Scala (obtained in 2016), Statistical Learning - Stanford Online Course (obtained in 2016), Learning Python for Data Analysis and Visualization (obtained in 2015), Introduction to Data Science (obtained in 2013), and Health Informatics in the Cloud (obtained in 2013). Additionally, they hold a verified certificate for Scalable Machine Learning with Spark from edX.
