Meg McMahon

Vice President Of Content And Test Development at Cambium Assessment

Meg McMahon has extensive experience in content and test development. Meg started their career as a high school mathematics teacher and department chair at Roanoke City Public Schools from 2000 to 2003.

Since then, Meg has held various roles at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). From 2004 to 2008, they were a Mathematics Grade Level Lead for State Achievement Assessment, responsible for writing and reviewing items and ensuring the quality of test forms. From 2007 to 2009, they also served as a Mathematics Content Lead for State Assessment, overseeing test development for the Mathematics portion of a paper pencil State Assessment.

At AIR, Meg also took on roles such as Mathematics Test Developer for Alternate Assessments from 2005 to 2008, Item Development Manager for State Assessment from 2007 to 2009, and Senior Test Development Specialist from 2008 to 2012. In these positions, they managed test item pools, resolved client feedback, led client meetings, and designed test specification documents.

Since 2012, Meg has been Vice President, Content and Test Development at Cambium Assessment. In this role, they oversee content and test development for the company.

Meg McMahon has a BA in Mathematics from George Mason University. Meg also holds an MEd in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Psychology (Assessment, Testing & Evaluation) from George Mason University.
