Kumar Karunakaran

Kumar Karunakaran has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Kumar is currently the VP of Engineering at Cambium Networks, a role they started in March 2019. Prior to Cambium Networks, Kumar was the Vice President of Engineering at MobileIron from January 2018 to March 2019. In this position, they owned the Sentry, Tunnel, and Access products and launched the Zero Password Initiative.

Before their role at MobileIron, Kumar held various positions at the same company. From March 2014 to 2017, they served as the Senior Director of Engineering. Prior to that, from October 2010 to March 2014, they worked as an Architect.

Kumar also has experience working at other notable companies. From December 2009 to October 2010, they were an Architect for Avaya, where they played a key role in designing Enterprise WLAN architecture and advising product management and senior leadership on technology and strategy.

Earlier in their career, Kumar worked at Nortel as a Software Architect from August 2000 to January 2010 and at NeST as a Senior Software Engineer from November 1995 to August 2000.

Kumar Karunakaran earned their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Instrumentation from the College of Engineering Trivandrum, where they studied from 1991 to 1995.
