“Camlife”, short for Cambodia Life Micro Insurance Plc. was the first life insurance company to be established in Cambodia. Originally conceived in May 2006 by way of an MOU signed between the Ministry of Economy of Finance and the Asia Insurance Group, Camlife was officially inaugurated on May 21st, 2012 by H.E Dr. Aun Porn Moniroth. Since its inauguration Camlife provides a comprehensive line of quality life insurance products tailored to meet the needs of the Cambodian people. On the 29th of April 2015, the Ministry of Economy & Finance signed an MOU with the Cambodian conglomerate Royal Group of Companies, owned by Neak Oknha Kith Meng for the complete sale and 100% transfer of all shares of Cambodia Life to the Royal Group. Thus today, Cambodia Life is now part of and fully owned and operated by the Royal Group of Companies. Known for his bold and innovative ways to build business opportunities in Cambodia, Neak Oknha Kith Meng has received, in recognition for his many services to the kingdom, numerous awards from His Majesty King Norodom Sihanomy and from the Royal government of Cambodia, including the medal of National Merit, and the title of Neak Okhna. He also holds other influential positions within Cambodia and the region: • President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce; • President of the Phnom Penh Chamber of Commerce; • Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council; • Chairman of CamGSM, Cambodia Television Network, Ezecom, Cambodiana Hotel, Infinity Insurance amongst others, first appointed Chairman of ANZ Royal, and now Cambodia Life.
