Tan Ren

Tan Ren currently holds the position of Associate Research Fellow and Sr Principal Scientist at Cambrex since May 2018, following a role as a Medicinal Chemist at Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine from January 2015 to May 2018, focusing on anti-fibrosis targets. Previous experience includes consulting for TransTech Pharma LLC in late 2014 and serving as Principal Scientist at TransTech Pharma from April 2001 to September 2014, where contributions included the development of hexokinase inhibitors and oncology drugs. Early career experience includes work as a chemist at LG Life Sciences in 1997, specializing in the synthesis of AZT for antiviral applications. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Lanzhou University (1990-1995), postdoctoral studies at Pohang University of Science and Technology (1995-1996), and the University of Pittsburgh (1997-2001).
