Christina Kaku has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of English language teaching. Christina started their career as an English teacher at Language Link Russia in 2004 and later taught at International House Katowice. In 2005, they joined AKCENT International House Prague as an English teacher and eventually became the Director of Studies for the In-Company Section and the English Department. Christina also gained experience as an Academic Director at P.A.R.K. English Training Centre in 2008. Christina then worked at Teaching House as a Teacher Trainer from 2009 to 2012, and as a Local Center Manager from 2014 to 2014. Christina served as the Director of Studies at International House New York Language School from 2012 to 2013. In 2012, they began working at Cambridge University Press & Assessment as a CELTA Assessor and later became the CELTA Joint Chief Assessor in 2022. From 2016 to 2019, Christina co-founded and worked at CCI English as the Co-founder, Director of Studies, and CELTA Trainer & Online Course Manager. Additionally, they have worked as a Freelance CELTA Trainer and Freelance English Teacher since 2015. Overall, Christina's work experience spans teaching, management, training, and assessment in various educational institutions and organizations.

Christina Kaku obtained their Master's degree in TESOL from Hamline University, with an end year of 2022. Christina earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University, with a start year of 1998 and an end year of 2002. During this time, they also pursued minors in Spanish, journalism, and electronic media. In 2006 and 2007, Christina completed a DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults) program at Cambridge University ESOL/Akcent International House Prague, specializing in English language teaching to adults.

In addition to their formal education, Christina holds several certifications. In December 2022, they obtained the "Acrobat DC Essential Training" certification from LinkedIn. Christina also completed the "Understand Best Practices with Canvas" certification from Coursera in January 2022. In August 2014, they obtained the "Foundations of Virtual Instruction" certification from Coursera Verified Certificates. In March 2014, they completed the "Critical Perspectives on Management" certification from Coursera. Prior to that, in December 2013, Christina obtained the "Emerging Trends & Technologies in the Virtual K-12 Classroom" certification from Coursera Verified Certificates.
